CNC Set Up Operator

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or press brakes depending on experience)
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Select proper tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
Perform machine setup including offsets, tool changes, and basic programming adjustments
Monitor machine operation to ensure parts meet quality standards
Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other tools
Troubleshoot minor issues and make necessary adjustments
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Qualifications

2+ years of CNC setup and/or operation experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Familiar with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure)
Basic understanding of G-code and machine controls preferred
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience in sheet metal fabrication
Experience with press brake, laser, or turret punch
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with tight tolerances
